I'm obsessed!?!

BIG KIM

I am a *NEW* Man!
Over the last few weeks I have become obsessed with Food programmes. I just cant stop watching them, I find them really interesting all of a sudden, and I'm even cooking and baking!!! I did a slow cooker beef casserole the other day (which according to my wife, was flipping gorgeous), and today I baked some Scones, and made a Quorn Sheperds Pie. I was never like this before. I dont even get hungry whilst doing all this, it's just the interest factor. and naturally I cannot eat the things I am making, so wifey has died and gone to heaven. LOL

Anyone else in the same boat. :)

Nice to know Im not the only one. I am still fascinated with the cookery programmes but I was all but obsessed with them for the first 8-10 weeks post-op, I had them on constantly. That has faded a bit now but I do still very often have Good Food channel on. I want to get into cooking properley and baking, Ive been baking bread for hubby this past week, only two loaves but its still baking.
I dont get hungry when I cook and food smells dont even get a reaction from any food smell, actually food doesnt hold any allure to me anymore, it is just something that keeps my body ticking along, thats it, which makes me curious on why food programmes fascinate me so much.
So yeah, I definately was obsessed and am still fascinated.

Any chance of food parcels? I'll pm you all my address xx

I call these cookery shows, 'Gastro Porn'. I am addicted. I particularly love, Come Dine with me. Hairy Bikers, and recently Instant Restaurant.
Two weeks ago I printed out all the recipes from Hairy Bikers Mums Know Best it took me the best part of an hour.

Kim, my theory is that it's all the oestrogen being released from your disappearing fat making you into a woman. We all know that a woman's place is in the kitchen.:hide::bolt:

I'll get me coat...

Glenville how could you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im going to ad my address to the food parcel list

It is also good to know that food doesn't 'own' you anymore post op as I'm a pre oper at mo so to be post hooray!

Glenville.... grrrr youll end up with your coat round your neck if you carry on like that! lol You are massively out numbered in here .... bet you love it! x

I love cooking and baking though now I would say I'm really interested in the healthy recipes and have some new books for them..when there are healthy options shown on TV I love watching because I felt sure that tasty food was only possible using tons of butter and fat etc..now I'm willing and curious to learn what I can to make good food that won't ruin anyones health.

I've always liked food programmes but I am now addicted to weight loss programmes (my favourites are the ones where people have had WLS). Hubby is getting fed up with these programmes LOL
