Or does anyone else get annoyed to hear somone being described as "a curvy size 12"? I have gone through hell and major surgery to reach a size 10/12 an here was me thinking I was now "Skinny" lol. Is it just me? xxxxx

well I'd love to be a curvy size 12 LOL! and my hubby won't fancy me if i'm skinny, so I jolly well better keep some curves!

I absolutely hate it when they say curvy size 12!! Size 12 is small for Gods sake! When they say someone is fat and they are a size 14 or something it infuriates me! No wonder so many young girls think they are fat when all they are is normal! XX

Glad its not just me then lol thanks ladies, considering UK average is a size 16 its frightening to think that a 12 can be described as curvy, As you say Jacqui what hope have young girls got under that pressure. Lol i'm on my soapbox now ha ha x

Is there something wrong with being curvy? While some people can be a size 12 and athletic or boyish, other people can be a 12 with an hourglass figure.
Whilst I desperately want to lose my weight, I'd still like to be feminine and have curves in the right places. I was proud to be curvy when I was slim. I wouldn't ever want to look like some pre-pubescent girl - or boy!
Have I completely missed the point here???

I know Allie, I have known young girls who say they have to go on a diet because theyre getting fat! and theyre probably a size 10! Remember when Tyra Banks was in all the papers for putting loads of weight on? She was approx a UK size 12....unbelievable XX

Not at all Louanne I'm not complaining about being curvy and a size 12 I just consider myslf skinny(for me ) now lol and it concerns me that young girls out there think a size 12 might mean they are too big by being described as curvy xx

I was in Boors a while ago to get weighed and had to wait for a gaggle of almost anorexic teenage girls on the scales. They were all doing their fat % as well...and one particular one (the one with the best figure because she had a nice shape) was just gutted because she was a couple of pounds more than the painfully skinny ones.

I could've cried and so wanted to tell them what a slippery slope they were on. It's so sad.

Lol Julie maybe we should start our own dictionary of descriptions! Grace that is tragic indeed ,I have a 15 year old daughter who is a size 12 and I've told her thats fine but the pressure is definatly out there to be that size zero look. xx
