Hi all
An update
had my first consultation today at salford Royal (Hope), I saw the endocronologist consultant who was extremley nice, she went through some of myhistory about my weight problems and eating habits and what diets I had attempted, she asked me my medical history as well, she also listned to my heart and lungs and I had blood tests performed and I have to do a 24 hour urine collection.
She discussed WLS and agreed I was suitable for a Gastric Bypass and she will now refer me to Mr Ammori YIIIPPPEEEEEE, I will also have an appointment with the psychiatrist and will need a sleep apnoea test (What does this involve????), she said when i see Mr Ammori I will also see the dieticion or specialist nurse.
I asked how long approxamatly to surgery and she said you will have it done within 12 weeks OMG OMG OMG, Im so excited and nervous I cant wait.
The only negative thing was the nurse who weighed me in the open clinic she asked why i was there and i told her and said "arent u better to just diet , thats what I would do" Silly woman, as if this isnt a hard enough decision without a health professional sticking there beak in without knowing anything at all about you or your problems.
Oh and my mum still not supportive says im making the wrong decision.
But hey who cares i gonna be slim hehehehehehe
