Just home from being banded

Well I had my op last night and am home and firmly ensconced on the sofa, it seemed to go fine and i am having a little smoothie just now. I dont really feel any different apart from the wounds which feel weird and i managed the little smothie tube ok.

First day of the rest of my life

It was done at the Nuffield in Glasgow with Catherine Sharp who was so nice, the whole thing was almost a pleasure (which is just as well given what it cost)!! But I am surprised to feel hungry :s

Ditto to what Neen says... So many newly post op want to turn into superman/woman immediately post op and don't realise how an important part of your weight loss surgery the recovery is...

Be kind to yourself, follow the rules and the rest will come xxx

Thank you so much, I will be taking it very easy until Monday at least, I need to work then but will be 100% sedentary as agreed with my manager, but if I dont feel able then I simply wont go. Plan to use this as an excuse to put my feet up for a change

It will fly in, I remember willing it to happen and next thing I know I am booking in! finding it hard to sit on my butt but know I have to. I have started a diary called Mamas big band adventure on the general WLS diaries section to track the op and immediate aftermath etc so feel free to read to get an idea of whats ahead.
