It does vary from provider to provider, I have known some to take them out (& gallbladder) whilst having wls. Others have had theirs out prior to wls and others afterwards - I would check with your provider and see what procedure they undertake. Julie x
I would have thought they would treat the kidney stones first. They don't take your kidneys out, they treat them with either medication or shock wave treatment. The shock waves disintegrate the stones, so you are able to pass them when you urinate.
I have an appointment with kidney specialist next week so hopefully they will sort it quick and if my surgeon turns me down this week i can try again soon
i had my kidney stones dealt with the month before my gastric bypass. I would have thought it would be best for you to have them dealt with before . The last thing you need is an infection on top of the gastric bypass surgery. Wendy
