Microwave Crisp Maker

Does anyone use these? I'm a bit of a crispaholic and as I was reading on another site about someone who makes carrot, parsnip, and other such crisps using this, I thought I'd give it a try. Have ordered one on Ebay (only £4) and just wondered whether anyone else has any experience with these.

I use one of these. I love vegetable crisps but they are so expensive so I make my own.

I use a potato peeler to cut the thin stips needed.
