yes that's him. I could understand that he would be embarrassed and probably still in pain from the surgery, but he was horrible to that nurse. Having said that, he seemed a bit better as the programme went on.

I thought the guy was frank. I really really liked him.
The nurse said "I'm not helping you because yesterday's nurse strained her muscle helping you" so the guy said "if you're not gonna help me get out".
I completely felt for the guy; he was in pain, he was embarrassed not helped by the nurses total apathy.
It was clear that this programme was filmed quite a few years ago. I was so pleased and so depressed by it. However it would seem that even back then the message was clear
"bariatric surgery is not an easy way out";
"obese people ARE human beings too";
"obesity is a real illness, disease .. whatever" and;
"fatism is horrid yet still so accepted in society"
