Hi All!

General question, has anyones pre op MRSA swabs come back positive?

If so did they treat it in time for your op or did it get cancelled / postponed?

Hi Joanna,
I had a positive MRSA when I had my gall bladder removed under keyhole surgery. Was given an antibiotic cream for my nose and surgical scrub solution to shower with for the week before. Only issue was that I was last on the list.

Thanks Ian for your reply. Im on the long waiting list now finally so trying to prevent anything i can to not get cancelled or postponed! I did ask my GP if they would test me before the pre op, but sadly not!
