MY FIRST GAIN!!!!!!

fizzwoods

NEED TO LOSE!
23 weeks out today and imagine my dissapointment when I discovered I had gained 2lb's!!!!!!!!! I don't know how, was good last week, swam 3 days and went for a walk on 2 days. I am so gutted, disheartened and totally fed up! I go away with the girls in 8 weeks and so wanted to be in the 13st range, doesn't look like I will now!!!

Don't be disheartened hun, you've probably just built up a bit of muscle from the walking and swimming. Are you keeping check of your measurements too, that can often be more motivating.

Keep going, you're doing great x

Try not to worry about it. I put on 5 pounds in a week, which turned out to be water retention. It is probably the same for you :)

Don't worry abut it. My dietician said that no one loses weight in a straight line. Everyone gains a couple of lbs some weeks but then lose more and in the end the losses outdo the gains. It's usually water retention or muscle gain. It's weight that doesn't count. The only weight gain to worry about is when you know you have been overeating/eating the wrong things and not compensating with exercise. If you've been good, chosen healthy food and worked out, you can be sure it's not fat weight :)

Thanks everyone. Fingers crossed. xx

Water retention is a fact of life for us women :wave_cry: I am up & down like a brides nightie but overall very much down ... like a wifes nightie :p
Bet you lose it + a couple of it's friends next week :D xxx

Lets hope its the water retention girls!! Thanks alot. xx

It is probably because you have done all this excercise you will find that you will have a bigger loss next week. Good luck Wendy

Since joining the gym my weight loss has slowed down but my energy levels are up and I'm getting more comments about having lost weight. Fingers crossed for both of us that we're just toning up and it's muscle mass.
I have weight fluctuations due to water retention monthly. No need to panic if you are still on track.

Hope it shifts quickly for you.

Once every 4 weeks I put on around 4lbs I have learned it is normal just a pain of being a women. I find the week after though the loss is a little higher than the other weeks. x

Well, I have lost my gain of 2lb, plus a cheeky 1lb too. Still a bit disappointed, but, its all off!!! Hope this week is a good one!!!!!!!!
