new scales??

hi every one my tanita scales have given the ghost it now says im 6 stone 11 great i know but hay i need to wake up and smell the coffee!!! i spent nearly £6 on new batterys and no luck they keep juddering around not getting past 6 stone 11 ..... so im going to get some more should i get mecanical ones or electronic ones? i dont want to spent a fortune on them £25 max?? any one got any suggestions i dont need to know what percentage of me is water etc i know im fat i dont need to know how much fat i have in me and water bla bla . i just want reliable ones?? many thanks for any suggestions!!!

i have mechanical salter ones just like whats in the gp's surgery i find them more reliable than digital they usually around the £20 mark in argos x
