Is it just me or does anyone else have periods of overwhelming fear that the surgeon didn't do the procedure??? - bar bearing the scars I haven't had any issues eating after my bypass ... No sickness, no nausea, no dumping ....am I eating too much?, will I lose all I want to????, will the call of sweet stuff draw me back???

Lol I've thought the very same. I'm not on the normal diet yet but keep thinking I wonder sometimes if some people they leave to see if it just in your mind.
So your deff not on your own. I hoping I don't get the sickness or dumping but in one way I guess it's good if you do xx

I am exactly the same!!!!! But today I found out he had, the bad way... I had a few sweet chilli crackers (21 cals each) by McVitie for lunch with low fat philly. I have just had an 'orlistat/xenical' episode with extreme tummy pain. Obviously I have 'dumped' being the word.... LITERALLY. Sorry for TMI...

I did have 1 dumping episode early on in week 2 with 'Covent Garden' tomato and basil soup. Apart from this I have been able to manage most things.

Lol all the time! Its easy to reassure myself though- I simply eat a slice of dry toast a little too fast or dont chew some meat enough and Im right back believing!

What I find strange is that one day I can manage a 200 cal poached egg on 1 slice of dry toast. It can go down quite easily yet yesterday it made me ill again as if I'd never tried it.

My other worry is that the hole at the bottom of my stomach is massive and thats why I can seem to eat almost as much as I want......the magic being I want to eat a lot less than I used to. I also count my cals at the end of the day and seldom go over 1000 - usually 800 I dont go to bed hungry so I reckon on balance the op is just how it should be.

I have no problem with fluids. I drink tea like its fresh air I can eat seemingly any amount of wet or liquid food so I avoid it. to me these are dangerous calories as they don't fill my stomach and pass through yet are full of calories!
Oh and I dont dump either - just a slightly ikky feeling if I eat anything sugary like ice cream whatever.

Carberello Mr Ackroyd did my op too :) haven't eaten sweet food so dont know if I dump but darent try it incase I don't!!!!!! X
