I finally have the date for my RNY gastric bypass, only a few weeks away....
My surgeon is Mr Pollard at Jimmy's in Leeds. He performs open surgery, not keyhole. I am very grateful to be having the op funded by the NHS but I am a bit worried about the open surgery.
I have watched a few programmes on TV but all the procedures are keyhole!!! I would love to hear about the experiences of anyone on the forum who has had open surgery.
