Coz at the mo i seem to be having mash for one meal a day with meat mushed of course and egg for another meal i also dont think im getting anoth food in xxxx

Think i was about 12 weeks post op, Its quite heavy to take at first ....at least thats what i thought. Carbs are hard work xxx

Hi well i was told by my dietitian that i could have soft rice in 5weeks so i did not very much but it was fine i only stared having pasta only 2weeks ago an it seems to be fine the only problem i have s eating ma as it gets stuck but told must try and have meat but fish goes down nicely.hope it helped. All the best.xx

I've been advised I can have lasagne, cannelloni, macaroni cheese and risotto from about 4 weeks post-op. You need to avoid "dry" pasta or plain rice as it can get stuck so adding tomato or cheese based sauces will help, or even in soups... minestrone or chicken noodle spring to mind. I'd also avoid spaghetti, linguine, tagliatelle etc for now and stick to the smaller pasta shapes.

Yeah I was about 12 weeks before I ate Rice & Paste. beware though, dont eat to much, as it swells in the pouch, and you can feel bloated after just a few mouth fulls.

I've found that I can eat pasta ok but not so good with rice. Even muller rice and rice pudding don't go down well.

I tolerate pasta well now, but lots of people struggle with it, and I was about 4 months before I could manage more than about a forkful.

Try baby rice (not the weaning stuff) small baby sized rice and baby pasta and cook a little longer than rec. I can have a bit of that its good as my baby has hers and i have small amount she has more than i do lol

xx
