Post op wind pain

I've seen wind pain mentioned in a couple of threads and I'm wondering what I should take into hospital to combat this?

I'm particularly concerned because I have an ileostomy and therefore cannot 'pass wind' like normal people!

I took both gripe water & peppermint tea & needed neither luckily..

I spent 2 hours wandering around with a silly smile on my face like the cat that got the cream the day after my op all coz i farted :ashamed0005:
