Hi
Silly question!! but is there lockers next to the beds if so how big can your case/holdall be? also how long was your stay in hospital? Even though ive not got my op date i bought some night shirts and shorts with camisole today not knowing what would be best? In my head if i get a holdall ready it is a step closer to op day. I am moving in 7 weeks to lancashire so i will be 6 hours away from the hospital, i cant stop the move due to my husbands job i have dreams that i will get my op date and it will be to close to me moving that i will have to say no to op im am so worried that some times i lay awake all night. But my need to be thin outways anything, i guess im not alone with these feelings of dred and fear of the op.;)

hi Karen
yes there are lockers & a small wardrobe too
hope you get sorted before the move :)

hi karen!! I also had my op at the royal bournemouth, and it really is a lovely hospital, and the surgeons are great, so you are in good hands... I am 3 weeks out of surgery, and hopefully going to my first support meeting this coming monday, so look forward to meeting you, if you make it also... xx

Thank you for the invite to meeting i would love to come but i live 2 hours away and i dont drive. Im glad all has gone well for you amanda, was the op and hospital stay what you thought it would be? I would be glad of any tips!!

hi karen e. just looked and realised you live in wiltshire. well so do I. maybe some time in the future we can make a plan and travel to the support meeting together. there is another lady who lives in gillingham also on this forum who is taking me on Monday as I can't drive yet, so I am sure there will be a way to get you to the meetings at some point... As for the hospital stay! the staff were fantastic, and I couldn't fault it... I won't lie and say I wasn't in pain the first few days after the op, but it was more from wind pain than from the actual op site itself.. If you want to chat at any point then by all means email me and I will give you my telephone numbers so you can call me. I know if I had not had that sort of support from penelope1008 and others before my op it wouldve been a lot more scarier. Thats what this forum is all about I think..xx
