Sharon if you look in the guide at the beginning it will tell you how many post etc you need to have to get extra privilages. I think you need to have 50 for some things to kick in, so you'll need to go on and post some more.x

Sorry jj'smama only just seen this post. I think it is like Gail said you need to do 50 posts and then you should be able to pm. I tried to pm you and it said something about your profile not accepting pm's so maybe check your profile too.
