Shortest time allowed for pre op?

Whats the minimum time given for pre op diet? Some people seem to have to do much longer than others...

Shotest I have heard of too - but i have read (on another WLS site) about some surgeons (ie the senior surgeon where I am hopefully going) not requiring it at all.

(This means that I am erring on the side of caution and I am trying to reduce weight as much as I can before I get a date. Why does Slimfast taste so foul? :cry::cry::cry

I think 1 week is the shortest I've heard of too. I have read on here though someone who did'nt have to do the pre op diet (can't remember who though). Mine was 10 daysx

yup 7 days is the shortest i've heard of and mine was 7 days, pretty aweful i found it, i'd never manage a month!

Mine was 7 days - I did 'a' diet for 10 - cut out the carbs and did slimfast for the last couple of days. worked for me but it is not what the doc ordered
