For years iv been single and always thought it was my weight that has prevented me from getting a boyfriend. Well since iv lost weight I have had the chance of a relationship with a lovely man, I have realised that I don't want one and probably never did :) and that I am happy me my child and not forgetting my dog lol. Now I realise it was never my weight and have blamed my weight for a lot of things over the years like not getting into a relationship and not socialising with friends and being constantly tiered (still shattered lol) I am now not putting any pressure on myself and going to enjoy my time with my little family happily :) and now I don't have the weight to blame on being single I can now fully understand that I am happy :) I spent the day out with my little family (even the dog) and my sisters family (her dog too) at the beach having a picnic, and I ran around the beach having a fab time (and no man was needed) lol x

that's lovely Suzie :) good luck with your new happy life x

aww thats great suzie :) i too love being single, but people always seem to think im lying
its great aint it? :D xxx

I'm the same. People always think I must want a relationship really but to be honest I'm quite happy on my own, I'm looking forward to being slim and single too :D Enjoy every minute :D x

Aww suzi that's lovely. Kids mean everything and dogs ofcourse. I was very happily single for 6 years with my 2 girls but met a wonderful man 7 years ago, who Iv been married to for the last 4 years. Either way you should never have to conform to what people think is normal! As long as your happy who cares xxx

You're really attractive so I can't understand how come you haven't been fighting men off, weight or no weight! I'm single and getting to like my alone time more and more that I don't know if I'll ever be able to let a man into my space again lol I have ME/CFS so don't have the energy for their tantrums, just wish I had the energy to make some friends, that's all I need, no man just some friends :(

Thanks everyone for the comments, it's nice to see that other people have been happy single and that I'm not abnormal lol, I think wether single, married, or courting as long as your happy that's all that matters :) x x x

Glad you enjoy your alone time and totally know what you mean about letting a man into my space lol, fingers crossed that your op helps with your ME/CFS and that you get some energy back to make new friends :) this op does change a lot about your life and you find yourself in social situations you would normally avoid when you were bigger and enjoying it :) Not long now to your op and the start of your new life :) x

I so hope I start to enjoy life again once I start losing the weight cos to quote a line from a song...heaven knows I'm miserable now!

Not always been like it but the last year in particular i've been much more aware of my weight - maybe it's age! lol
