just wondering wot time ppl had off from work after having a sleeve done???? i ave been told i cant drive for 2 weeks xx

I've been told 6-8 weeks iff work and no driving for 4 weeks. Was told similar to having hysterectomy or other major + abdominal surgery.

Oh god, no driving for 4 weeks, i was told 10 days ! x

I was off work for approx 8 weeks and didn't drive for about 6 weeks.

For the driving I was told about 2 weeks but it was down to your insurance company and they agreed 2 weeks. As for work i was told 2-6 weeks but as i work in a school and had op the week before we broke up for summer hols i ended up having 7 weeks but could have gone back after 3 weeks. Its all down to the individual. Xx

6 weeks...... 8 weeks OMG!!
I hope not, I have been told as its key hole, I should only need 2 weeks off.

I have desk based job so hopefully I will be fine.
I had gall bladder removed earlier in year by key hole and I was fine after 10 days, so fingers crossed, xx

A friends i know that had it done was only 2 weeks and as i said if it hadn't been the school hols id have been back sooner. Xx
