3 months post bypass and I would say...
Good points : great weight loss
vastly increased mobility
renewed dignity
starting to wear 'normal' sized clothes
not hating what I see in the mirror
many, many more things!!!
Bad points : none
Niggly points : dizziness, hair loss and dry dry dry skin.
I chose my niggly points to be niggly as they are supposed to be temporary and so for me they arent bad they are just small niggles.
For me, the good points FAR outweight the niggly points and I wouldnt change my choice of having a bypass for all of the money in the world.
In my good points I put renewed dignity and what I mean by that is that pre-op I couldnt reach all of my body when I was washing and felt so awful having to ask hubby for help. I didnt ask often, I would just stand against a wall and force my hand to reach but on occassion I got so frustrated that I had to ask for his help. I never needed help to use the toilet but I think that if I hadnt had my bypass then I would have gained more and more weight and then all of my dignity would have been lost when I would have needed help to toilet myself...so for me this is one of the biggest good points because only three months post op and I can reach every bit of my body easily and I feel DAMN good about that.
I seriously dont feel that anything about my bypass and new lifestyle could be considered as bad, I would do it all again tomorrow.
