The area can get nasty. This is for preventing problems once the area is better.
I think having a bath or shower twice a day, pat dry carefully, once dry put on a dusting of talc, such as Johnsons Baby powder with lavender and camomile. When alone and resting (if lucky) lie down whenever possible and let the air get to the area by holding the stomach away for some time - just so the area gets some air! I personally don't have that problem because I always use talc after two baths daily. The areas also get the same problem when post surgery there is an overhang of stomach - again the skin needs to be carefully looked after.
