Post-op Gastric Bypass
Hi guys and gals, just thought i would pop in to say hi to everyone.

not been posting for a while as life has been so hectic!!! my little girl continues to be unwell and we continue to battle with hospitals around her care!

i am still loving life post bypass and have neraly reached my target! i can't remember the last time i weighed 10 stone something! (probably when i was born). my quality of life, confidence and happiness has soared and for the first time i can truly say i like me!

i also have a new job which i will be starting in march. again something my new confidence has allowed me to do.

just wanted to say how well everyone is doing and for those still fighting for funding don't give up.

will try to post more as i miss tracking how everyone is doing.

thanks again to everyone for their support x

oh yeah forgot to say that my tests for TIA, heart scan etc were all fine. feel really reassured as the consultant said my weight loss has imrpved my health no end! a real bonus from having the bypass x

Hi Tammy :hug99: glad you're seeing health benefits, it rocks doesn't it? I have normal kidney function for the first time in 17 years :)

Congrats on the job, and I hope that your daughter gets the help she needs without too much of a fight!

You're doing so well, it's inspirational x

Hi Tammy, your weight loss is absolutely awesome. Congratulations. It must be wonderful to be classified as normal at long last.

So sorry to hear that your darling girl is unwell. She's a lucky girl to have a healthy loving mother to take care of her.

And congratulations on the new job. Best of luck with that. x

wow tammy that is fantastic.Cant wait to be where you are now. Is yr new job in the same line of work?
As for little one hope they get her sorted. One of the young ones i support has just spent 10 months in alderhay they (touch wood) have finally got him sorted after a major op to re wire all the nerves to his stomach, the op itself was a 50/50 as to wh ether or not he would make it through surgery but he surpassed everyones expectations and cam home on christmas eve for good hopefully. we have some fantastic peadatritions and specialists in the north west and hopefully as she grows they will help her the best they can.
Take care and i hope you soon reach that target.
thinking of you

Hi carole, you are doing amazingly well with your weight loss! my new job is in the same line of work really looking forward to it!

it is stressful with a sick child and i know with your experience you know exactly how frustrating and upsetting it can be. going back into hospital tomorrow with her just hope it doesn't involve more surgery she deserves a break from it all. thanks again for all you support and kind words and well done again you are doing so well x

Hiya Tammy - you are so close now!! I want to be where you are at 8months! So sorry that you have had such a hard time with your little one's health, I can't even image the stress and worry you must feel for her. (((HUGS))).

Glad to see you around here, we miss you when you are gone.

Take care,
Nichole;)
