I have been under the care of the specialist weight management team at thornaby for around 18 months on and off. I have been referred and am at my first seminar appointment tomorrow.
I'm slightly disappointed as I was told it would be 6 weeks until my operation from this referral by the SWMS GP to have found out through this forum its more like 6 months. this is after I have already seen the consultant who carries out the operation as part of a general surgery clinic who has told me due to my barretts oesophagus I should be seen ASAP as priorty down to my age and possible long term effects.
has anyone had similar experiences or in general have good or bad stories regarding Mr Gopinath and team at North Tees

6 months is the minimum you can be on tier 4 before having surgery, with waiting lists its more like a year unfortunately. Hope the appointment goes well!
