Sunderland distal or proximal bypass ?

Just realised I don't know which they do.

Does anyone know ?

Proximal is the normal method, but you'd need to check with your team.

Yeah the difference is one bypasses slightly more whereas the other doesn't.
From what I know, proximal is done normally BUT the surgeon will never know what he will choose to do until he opens you up. Sometimes they do the distal anyway during surgery and only tell you after.
