surgery at Dewsbury

Hi has anybody had a gastric bypass at Dewsbury and Discrit hospital if so how long did you have to wait thanks xxx

I had a sleeve gastrectomy op at Dewsbury by Mr Bhapat (lovely man) at the end of Sept. I started the process under Dr Raj and Vikki the dietician back in Nov 2009. Followed all their rules and was put forward for surgery in June 2010. Offered date in August but couldnt take it and went in 26 sept.
Great
had few problems, was out after 4 nights (and that was one day longer cos i had a temp).
No problems since.
Started off 114 kg in Nov 2009. Down to 101kg at op ( after 3 weeks on milk diet) and am now at 87 kg.
All done laporoscopically, 5 little nicks in my belly.
I really dont feel hungry except a crave sugar around my period (and with GS dont have dumping syndrome if i have to indulge)
Followed up 6 weeks later by dieticain and appt for just before xmas to see surgeon
Well looked after by Bhapat and his colleague, Vereswamy. Good care in Dewsbury hospital.

hi i am at dewsbury district hospital too under mr white/bahpat for a sleeve operation i am just waiting now for my date i am on the waiting list i cant fault the service in dewsbury its been very good i cant wait untill its my turn
