I had my op on Tuesday. Ever since then the end of my tonuge has been numb, well not completely numb but tingly and odd.

Maybe they clamped my tonuge when they put the tubes down?

Maybe it was the soluble co-codamol?

Well I've not taken the co-codamol since early Wednesday morning and surely it should be better by now if they did clamp it.

It's really beginning to bug me now.

Did anyone else have a tongue problem?????

I have had this before but it was my tonsils which they caught with the tube ( not the op for wls) and it did take quite a few days to get better....its one of the senarios that it bugged me for days and then I didnt even notice it had gone (hope that makes sense) lol.

All the best - MeyJulie xx

This happened to my lower lip following the surgery and after about a week of it being numb the feeling came back without me realising it. Must have been something to do with airway tube during surgery. Hope this helps Xx
