This may sound a silly question but.....

hi lisa restriction is built up gradually over time with fills, the sweet spot is a personal thing to each patient and really about what your happy being able to tollerate food wise, before i could eat say pasta and rice, some people are happy to eat these foods and would be happy with there fill level at that point so would say that they were at the sweet spot for them, i wasnt happy at this so i pushed it further and went tighter and now i cant eat those foods i now am at sweet spott but im happy with my decision of being tight and very restricted for others its just down to how tight they are and if they are happy with there daily food intake and weight loss.

when the sweet spot is lost you can tell as you can eat more over as period of time and may just need the fill re topped up as fill is lost naturally over time.

its a hard one to explain but ive put it into words the best way i can.

Liz is right, there is no formula for restriction, as everyone is different.

For me I cannot tolerate more than a quarter of a slice of bread, 1 tablespoon of rice or a few pasta shells. But I only use these to test my level of restriction. I do not eat them on any regular basis.

But I would like not to be able to have them at all, so I am off for another fill.

This one I hope to get there.

i agree caz i wanted to go tighter as a personal choice for me to really take the option of eating those foods out my hands as i used to eat loads of pasta as i cant resist it.
