I have just joined here after stumbling on the site purely by accident! And, having had a look round & posted in a few places, I had to post somewhere to say what a pleasure it is to be here!

I am on another Weight Loss Forum & swotted up quite a bit pre-op regarding what to expect, what to do, etc etc. However, I wish I'd come here first! The other site rather set me up to expect the worst from my Gastric Bypass & I was expecting a lot worse than what I have felt! In fact, I have been worried that things HAVE been going so well!!

If I had come here first, I would have seen the more positive, upbeat & good things (of course, everyone is different & things don't always go brilliantly) - there just isn't the "poor me" & negativity!

Hi Ditzy and welcome to minis. I too didn't find this site till almost a month post op. wish i had found it first and would have felt alot more supported and knowlegable before my op. I love this site and think people are so supportive. x

i think its great to i was recommended it by the lovely olsbols i tried another forum too but dam it was depressing there is good and bad with wls but you have to focus on the positive and support each other which this place is great for

Yes indeed Shel, I am now 2 weeks post op! Officially 'a loser'!!
