I had a thought about my funding approval letter today. At the bottom of the letter it says 'This offer is valid for 6 months from the date of this letter'. Im guessing that Luton will bear that in mind? Or do you think they dont really care and will re apply if time runs out?

L&D are quick once you are in their system so dont worry 
I saw them the 28th September 2012 for my first appointment. My operation was the 14th January 2013. If Christmas and New Year had not got in the way I think it would have been sooner.

Wow thats a quick process with the L&D, my 1st appt with them, I was told was just a get to know you, my second I was put on the milk diet, which was for 4 weeks. my last appt last week was the refeed diet or back on to the milk diet, I chose the milk diet because if I went back on the food I woud fail, my next appt is in 5 weeks. but i was told by the dietician last week that my surgery could be in july, that is so soul destroying , I have to wait so long, why is the process so different for everyone at the L&D. sorry to sound so terrible but it feels like such a long old slog for me.

All I know is my funding like Beckers was for 6 months. No idea why!
The Team were aware and basically the only way it would have been held up was if I messed it up by not doing as I was told. I had to do the 5% loss and it was made clear that I had to maintain the loss even over Christmas and New Year. Thankfully I made sure I stuck to the plan and lost more weight.
The appointment you have next in 5 weeks was the one when they arranged my appointments to see the Surgeon and Anaesthetist. At the appointment with the Surgeon he gave me a choice of two dates. My op was 10 days later and I had to go back on the milk diet immediately. Maybe yours will be quick depending on his diary. Lets hope so! x
