Hi, I am from Gateshead, just been referred for surgery by my GP, so "trying" so hard to be patient! Want to get it all done and dusted now, so I can loose weight and "keep" it off.

Evening Liz, I am being referred to Sunderland, I have not admitted to the family but the bypass scares the living daylights out of me, I would prefer the band but it all comes down to what the surgeon recommends, does it not?

yes it does, they will recommend whats the right op that suits your eating habbits best, i had a band done at sunderland in 2005.

I have gathered that Liz and will go with what ever is recommended but the bypass still freaks me out, I have heard of so many problem.

Lesley i had the bypass and complications in the form of a gallbladder infection, but whist that was really nasty i do NOT regret having had the bypsss, it is very worth it in the end and will help you keep the weight off for life.
