two of appointments done. nurse and dietician. both lovely. lots of info.a bucket of blood taken, im very optimistic this is the right thing for me. seeing surgeon at 6 20 pm, karen x

Well I met the amazing Mr Ammori. Everybody was quite right - he's adorable. I told him he was a GOD on this site and he looked all bashful bless him - then said he would take good care of me (lol maybe he thinks I might give him a bad review otherwise).

He did say my stay would normally only be 1 night but as I had help at home for the children I could stay two nights if I wanted. I said yes please lol. I need the rest.

So I'm all set for Saturday morning. Apparently I'm first on the list to go down.

OOOOOO Karen, i am so excited for you!!!!! I stayed 2 nights, but i didnt have a choice, the first night was on high dependancy and the second was in my own room, i cant believe its only on Saturday!!! you are going to do amazing hun, i just know it

I know it is all happening so quickly! It still seems a little unreal to me. I really and truly expected someone today to turn round and say "Oh I'm sorry, we won't be able to do the op afterall."
