Hi does anyone know what waiting lists are like for sunderland hospital just I've heard things are going a bit quicker thanks xx

I am at Sunderland and attended the Seminar October 1st when we were told time scales were expected to be about 6 months! I have since had 2 appointments with the Bariatric nurses and dieticians. Last appointment was a couple of weeks ago and I now have to wait upto 6 weeks to see Surgeon, then 4-6 weeks for endoscopy, then I should be given a date for surgery. In my estimate, hopefully I will have surgery April time so timescales 6-7 months which is really good. I hate the waiting though, I am so impatient!
What stage are you at? There is a support group at the hospital on tonight, they are quite informative! xx

Thank you for your reply jacwat I have my seminar on 11th march so just starting out I'm hoping your estimations are correct that isn't long at all and I also hate the waiting and I'm only at the beginning lol I was reading about two years wait would hate to think of waiting that long x

That's what I was expecting to be honest but the Consultant said there aim is now 6 months. I have rang the appointments line to bring my appointments forward each time. They are so helpful.

6 months from seminar if so that is so quick didn't know you could bring appointments forward I will try and do that for my appointments after I've had my seminar thanks for the tip lol x
