what is the gastroscope ???

Sorry new to all this been reading a few posts and come up against the term gastroscope ,any ideas ?:wave_cry:

is it not the endoscopy (camera) but for your stomach? otherwise dont know soz xxx

i think the gastroscope goes further into the stomache,ive had both,,and with the gastroscope i had biopsys and polyps taken from the stomach,with the endoscope i had my upper digestive tract checked ,then i had the colon one which trust me aint nice lol,,,,and the one to check the kidneys ,,omg,,,,so many tubes,,and people think wls is an easy option? ,,,,,,,be"ave! x

A lighted flexible tubular instrument passed through the mouth for examining the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. It serves the same purpose as an Endoscope but is a little more far reaching!
