what to do - blend or process?

My food processor has packed in :sigh: typical.... had it for years to be honest so not really surprised so just wondering if its worth buying a new one or should I just use my hand blender - stick type with a beaker - for blending stuff during the puree stage?

I've seen a small one in Aldi marked down to £11 - its got bigger blades than my hand blender and comes with one medium beaker and 4 small beakers all with lids - not sure if I should get it or not. My hand blender is ok for doing soups but not sure how it would cope with blending cooked meats, etc.

Hand blender will be fine thats all I used I certainly wouldnt go out n buy one. xx
