Where is your stomach!

Daft question but I thought I had a rough idea where my stomach was but I keep getting twinges of pain in my right side, between my hip bone and my ribs, but definitely on the side is this correct?????...xx

My understanding is that the new pouch is central and just below your sternum x

Thanks shel thats what I thought, wonder what this twinge is in my side and wonder if it's connected to why I feel sick all the time, trying to sip water but its not having any affect....xx

I keep stopping what I eat in case I am eating too much but its way down if its my stomach....lol...have just mailed the bariatric nurse and will wait to see what she says....xx

Hey all,

My pouch is just below my sternum and central, with my old stomach to my left side a bit! Kinda feel like I'm almost a cow with 2 tummies,(they have 4!!) and the gurgles that come from both is quite comical at times! (but also embarrassing if it goes quiet in a room full of people!)

Thats def not were these twinges are coming from! I have visions of the "old" stomach flapping around like a deflated balloon and think its sad my folks helped make that stomach and I have made it redundant....am I sad or what lol...xx

I had this pain (on my left side). When I asked about it, I was told it is quite normal as it is the insides mending.

Bariatric nurse said if its on the left its the large bowl and ok, if its on the right its the small bowl and still ok....I guess its just getting used to whats going on inside....lol..xx
