Hi all,
Got my eagerly awaited letter for my first appoinment at Birmingham. Its on 3rd december so just over 2 weeks away. I'm so excited to be getting the ball rolling. Wonder what will happen? I'm hoping for a straight forward ride to getting to see the surgeon and being put on the waiting list.
I'm seeing a Dr Taheri. Anyone heard of him/her?

Good luck with your appointment. I was under Heartlands before going private.

Good luck - it will soon come round... :)

Hi everyone,
I want a bypass so hoping that the team there agree with me.
How long have you been waiting for your date Bullyfun?
Will you hvae to be on a liver shrinking diet over xmas?
L x

Saw Mr Super on 12th October and got a call today to say im being banded on the 6th January....
In my pre op pack it says to start diet 6 weeks before op.... so thats next wednesday by my calculations, you will be given a huge folder telling you all about whats going on diets before during and after op.
but in short milk and yoghurt for christmas lunch..... humbug. ;)

time will flyby but the only thing i will say is just be patient and do whatever your told i have been waiting 2 years for my funding with my PCT but will all be worth the wait. x

Thanks. I just let a message on your thread so feel free to ignore as you have answered on here!
I have been lucky so far. Initial GP visit to make enquiries in august and got my funding agreed in october...and that was even after my form went to the wrong place for a few weeks! Then got my initial appointment at the hospital in a fortnight. Just hope the next stages don't take too long as I am hoping to go to uni next sep and want to have lost a chunk of weight before then. x

Good luck scoobydoobydoo xx

Thanks xx
