A cold and surgery 2 days away!!

Did anyone have a cold and still have surgery? I've been taking cold capsules for a few days. It's not major but my op is Wednesday and I'm scared it's going to get worse instead of better. My colds normally start head and nose then throat and chest. I'm a little blocked and slight sore throat. I've to be careful what I take too due to LRD. Help!!

hiya. so sorry uv not 100%. I wud ring ur provider. I think from reading my pre op plan a little cold was ok.but if ur throats red and inflamed there may be a prob as they put a tube in ur mouth. defo no if u need antibiotics. if ur ok in urself I think it will be ok. good luck x

Thanks, it stayed minor and I got through the op ok on wed. Because of not being able to breathe properly my oxygen levels were low post op but alls well now. Was so scared of getting a cough by the surgery and rupturing stitches but thankfully its ok x
