Hey... I had my bypass on 17th Oct... so just coming up to 2weeks ago. Its changed my life and I feel so much better for it! You will feel the same too!!!
I lost nearly 2 stones on the milk diet - which cheered me up no end... and if you can get through that, you clearly have the will power to succeed.
Its natural to think about food you cant have - but remember its your new life and you will adapt very well. I have been craving chinese take away to be honest, but I know I cant so I just console myself with the fact that Im healthier, have more energy, Ive lost a lot of weight already in 2weeks and Im going to loose more! After years of being miserable about my size and in pain and lack of mobility, its the best feeling!!!

Like Pip1 I had mypass on the 17th of October. I think it's natural to think about anything at all that is restricted for you, but I can honestly say in the 2 weeks since the surgery I haven't once felt hungry or craved anything sweet or fatty. Stick with it, it will be worth it. x
I am Just out of hospital after my bypass on 29/10 and was up and about next day walking to my room then xray etc I am on a high at the moment as it is a new start,
the pre op is worth it the surgeon explained to me that my liver was perfect as I had followed everything he said to the letter, so think of it as your health for the new start! you are worth this new start x
I think the pre-op diet is a lot harder than the weeks following the op when it comes to food. Pre-op you still have the capacity to eat lots and big hunger pangs, post-op they go. Think of it as the last time you'll be feeling hungry in quite some time. You'll get there and make the most of any extras you've been given by your dietician.
