Hi Red,
I'm just over 9 and a half months post op. I have dumped, mainly on sugary foods. My first experience was a low fat yoghurt with hidden sugar content. I have craved chocolate, but can only have a piece or two now without dumping. Even then most of it tastes powdery compared to what it did pre op. Believe me, dumping and the powdery texture has put me off eating chocolate more than once in a while. I now opt for a Highlights hot chocolate or a couple of buttons when my mind hunger gets the better of me.
I don't dump with many fatty foods, except battered foods, like onion rings. I can even eat crisps and a chinese takeaway, although a normal portion is far too big for me now!
I was told that wholemeal/brown bread is better on the pouch than white, but I've found the opposite. When I eat brown bread it feels like it's got stuck half way down, whereas white bead is lighter. Having said that, toast is much easier to eat. Sometimes pasta, rice and solid quorn (I'm a vegetarian) make me feel clogged up as well. Having a healthy sauce with it does help, but there is a limit to how much of these things I can eat.
I hope this helps.
