Are eggs ok after WLS?

I personally dont seem to get on with scrambled egg or omellets any more - not sure why as it goes down nice and smooth, its just the alien inside has changed its mind about it, however fried egg or poached does go down well and stays in ok ! - hey but who cares its only scrambled egg and i can live without it :D

I'm fine with scrambled/poached/boiled and ommlettes. Not done fried on the basis it's fried :D and I prefer poached anyway. Yum yum poached egg on toast nomnomnom

Fried's ok - to be honest i eat so little anyway that the odd fried egg now and again isn't going to hurt me, its not stopped me losing weight so far, and i believe lifes about living, we can eat these things and provided we do it in moderation its not going to hurt us or stop us losing !

That's fair enough Richard, it wasn't a criticism, I just stopped frying food years ago as a personal preference.

For many months now I have been poaching eggs as a healthier option and apart from having to wash the pan afterwards (it always sticks no matter what) I prefer them to fried although every blue moon I did have a fried one...xx

Ok - this is how you poach the perfect egg.

1, Buy good quality fresh free range eggs (it makes a difference)
2, boil the kettle
3, in a large saucepan add a dash (about a table spoon) of white wine vinegar
4, add the boiling water to the pan ( about an inch and a half deep) and return to the boil.
5, turn the heat down until you have just a few tiny bubbles coming from the bottom.
6, Use a slotted spoon and make a gentle whirl pool in the centre of the pan
7, Break the egg and holding it just above the whirl pool allow it to fall into the water - the egg should stay in the middle and form a perfect shape without sticking !
8, Leave to cook for about 3 minutes and lift out with the slotted spoon !
9, Use a piece of kitchen towel to dab the excess water away before serving !

Note - cooking times may vary depending on the size of the egg - and my top tip is not to have the water boiling but just off the boil - and practice makes perfect !

Perfect poached eggs every time, healthy, nutritious and the perfect accompliment to any salad ! :D

Lol thanks chick....will start practising in the morning...xx

its different for different people FGS, I'm fine with toast.

I had a bit of a soft scramble with some chicken broth to make it sloppy. Then I topped it off with a little cheese sauce. It was yummy but I couldn't manage to eat all of it. I have heard that the pebble texture is a no-no for many post-ops so tread lightly until you know for sure you are not one of those people.

scrambled eggs was one of the things i tried when we could ove onto mushier stuff and it went down great. i still do now have either scrambled or an omlette and manage them no problem at all. x
