being too tough on myself?

I asked the consultant about exercise and he said you can do stomach exercises after 8 weeks as the port is attached to the muscle sheath so moves with it. He also said that he absolutely advocates 'vigorous' exercise when you're recovered. Screw that :)

I've just joined the gym ( but I'm 7 months into the process!) I just hate the thought of doing stomach exercises.. see if anything happened to my port because I'd put it under pressure, I'd die! That just me being neurotic though and I'm absolutely sure that other folk do 'ab' work vigorously after 6-8weeks!
 
Yes defo needs time to settle. I am like you Mrs pill too scared about damaged but find aquatic aerobic and you do all the exercise but eater takes most of the impact so it is a lot more gentle. I love it . Hth xxx.
