hi has anyone els got a black touge after surgery and black stool or is it me .please help worried ?:sigh:

I don't know about the black tongue but if your taking your iron tablets that would count for the black stools.

I had a blue tongue and blue wee it's because of the dye they use to check the pouch. Maybe your dye was black?

not sure about the black tongue, but black poo can happen if there is any blood in the bowel after the surgery and nothing to worry about unless it persists.

I had a black poo afetr I had my c-section and had a blood transfusion followed by iron tablets, so I think it will be the meds. I also have a horrible tounge (1 week post surgery) but it looks like yellow fur. Its gross.
