bypassers and pale poos?

candie

fabby not flabby :)
I know it's prob TMI, but my poos have gone really pale in the past week or so, and I was wondering if any other bypassers have had the same thing, particularly the ones who've ended up with gallstones :eek::eek:

Sorry I can't help, been on iron since my op I can't even remember what a 'normal' colour one is! ha ha

Mine are always a different colour, they did very pale a couple months after op, but because I'm not really a worrier I just took no notice !

Maybe it's the lack of carbs ???
Deffo not a lack of carbs with me hun:p:eek:I was worried cos I thought I was turning into a poodle :8855::8855::8855:

I thought that because I was on iron post-op that I would have very dark poops and I never did even though I have a mega high iron count.
Mine are quite pale at times but usually when I am getting more fat into my diet than I need, when that happens they really do go pale.
Sorry to be so personal but do yours float at all at times? If so then it could be a sign that you are having a little too much fat in your diet. My fatty ones are like a creamy colour and my average ones are like a soft brown colour.
Definately paler since the op though I must say.

im exactly the same as stephack, but when im takin my iron they go a really dark colour i mean blackish.

Mine have been green, black brown, sandy, and a whole bunch of colours, so I wouldn't worry hun.
The worst experience I had was Constipation, that wasn't pleasant. so if you are having regular NO:2's then I'd be happy with that. HTH ;)

Mine are particularly pale when I've had a lot of fat in my food. I've had my gallbladder out so it is not to do with gallstones (although I did have very pale ones then too)

Mine are really pale as well. I think it is probably fat related- as I went through a spell of only able to eat cheddar cheese! Now able to eat fish again as well as cottage cheese they have darkened slightly!

Just paint them if you are not happy with the colour, Lol x

Due to iron - mine are dark green - NICE lol

See now thats what confuses me, I was on the two iron a day and when my bloods were done I had almost too much iron on board, so why werent my poops really dark? Strange.

Hello

I have not had surgery as yet , but I used to have pale No2's prior to having my gallbladder out , as I too had stones and attacks on many occasions , and this has only just settled down since I had it removed last september.

All the best - MeJulie x x
