Cold/cough remedies

I used to have the syrup for day nurse and buttercup syrup which I'm assuming would be high in sugar. What's best post op for cough/colds, I feel a sore throat coming which after a few days always leads to a cold, and first one post op.

Well I have just had almost a bottle of robitussin that is sugar free and s/f sweets halls, paracetamols, still have nasty cough but not every couple of minutes but have bouts where it stops n starts again. Am going back to work today. xx

Good luck Paula, I am pre opp, But like chrisa I have had a bottle or two. lol. But mine was beechams. anyway hope you both feel well soon x

Robitussin, Hall's sugar free cough "sweets" and Beecham's All In One, assuming you're now ok with tablets. It's those pesky syrups that are just so high in sugar, I think the tabs are fine though. Get well soon xx
