Hi Bex

Glad it's all over and done with for you :)
I'm sure you'll be fine but contact your GP for advice, as you can't afford to get dehydrated xx

I have has loose stools too the nurses didn't seem to worried about it said it would settle down.

Yes it happened to me too, only lasted a day though so hopefully yours will settle down too, just keep drinking Hun xxx

Thanks all, settled abit now x

I am nearly 16 weeks post-op and still go from constipated to diarrhoea within hours!!! According to my surgeon is perfectly normal.... the secret is keep sip sip sipping!!!

The more you drink the more you shrink!! :D

Hiya

Am still having problems, not constipated just the other way, do you think its the soup??

Bex,

Are you having much in the way of milk at the moment?

I've read, and am sure people mention on here from time to time, that some people become lactose intolerant for a time after surgery - one of the most common symptoms of lactose intolerance is loose stools.

Might be worth considering speaking to your team about and perhaps switching to a lactose free alternative.

Could be the problem then, even a tiny amount of lactose can cause no end of problems for someone with an intolerance!
