im here guys .. checking in now and then.. still with mum on couch in days.. finding fluids hard to get down bit of a pain and as i never drank hot drinks they make me feel sick when i try ..

so i have been on ice Lolly's more than anything.

today im feeling quite normal trying not to put anything in me thats going to make me feel ill and change my day.

i have been having mash and mince. fish. weetbix. and bits and bobs.
find fresh oj is only thing i can drink but then makes me go to loo.

i have lost around 3 stone since liver shrink and surgery its about 4 weeks now. my jeans wont stay up i tried them on other day was v surprised.

but still in that 2 mind faze could i have done this my self with out having to go through all of this pain and uncomforted. most days im quite spaced out feel like i float and my eyes are spaced out.

still having tummy aches and bit sore feeling like pulling. but my wounds are just starting to close up as i had a open wound where 1 drain was and i had a bag until 2 days ago. i took it off and dressed it.

i just wanna feel normal and be able to drink fluids with out the worry that it will hurt once it goes in ..

but 1 day at a time ..

Aaahhh chicken - all those things will come, and you will start to feel 'normal' again. It's a big deal this and it takes time for our body and mind to adjust. 3 stone is fantastic!! Jeans falling off - amazing. Hang on in there. Rest a bit, walk a bit, rest a bit. Listen to your body. x x x

HI Brett
Good to hear from you, so sorry you are having such a difficult time just now. Jeans falling down that's such good news i could'nt get my trousers fastened today so look forward to joining the "falling down club". Take it easy Brett and sending you a big hug from sunny Scotland x

Brett! So glad your back! Really missed you hun! X sorry to hear things have been so tough for you after the op with all your complications. Things can only get better. Well done on the weight loss, thats fantastic! I thro everyone here at mini's can't wait till your feeling better and wanna tell up all about your journey so far! I know i defo can't wait! Have a million questions about the procedure at the whittington! But i'm happy to wait till you feel up to it. Take care and rest loads you loser! Big hugs x

I know it seems that things have gone on a long time but you went through a really rough time in hospital, you have to recover from that as well the the physical operation. You will get there. Glad you are feeling well enough to post something today, 3 stone is a brillient loss so far, and one day you will be able to say you do not regret having had the bypass

Hi there matey,

So glad to here from you......you had us all worried there for a while.

You had your op just a few days after me and today is the first day that I managed without taking pain killers and I am so pleased. I reacon that the issues you had have probably set you back only a couple of weeks in the recovery process and in no time at all you will be back on your feet properly and you will smile about all this one day. Rome wasn't built in a day and there were a few battle that were fought along the way. You just had a battle sooner than you had hoped.

I know you feel really crapy right now but that does pass - I promise and then you can take the bull by the horns and embrace your new, happy, healthier life and truely enjoy it!!!!

With you every step of the way bud!!

take it easy and take care.

xxxx

Hi Brett, glad to see u back online. Sounds like u have had a rough time. In 6 months you'll feel like it was worth it! 3st is great, keep going!! xx

Hi Brett,

Glad things are settling down for you, way to go you and your falling down jeans! Are you going to the group support session at the hospital in June, I think it's about the 25th or something. I think I am going to go and another lady who is also with Greenwich PCT who I met at my group educational. Maybe we'll see you there?

Anyway keep on the good work, take care. xxx

Yo Brett. So sorry you had a horrid time but you are on the mend now - it does get better honest! What were the ice lollies? Always interested in something else I can shove in my gob. Big Hug!
