DUMPING!!!!!!! Please explain????

Hi all recently been banded, currently endinx the first week of the two week fluid diet but keep hearing the expression 'DUMPING' being used. Please could someone explain?

Have read the article but am a little confused does DUMPING only apply to bypass/sleeve procedures? I've been banded so does dumping not occur in banded patients?

I think you can get dumping with most weight loss procedures because I know I get it from taking Orlistat x

No banders not get dumping syndrome. Only those who have had part of their stomachs removed by surgery are at risk from dumping syndrome.

You can get dumping without surgery but banding is unlikely to increase it!

Just curious as the other evening before bed. My stomach/bowel decided to rapidly empty it's self.
I have no idea why and wondered if this is what it was.
