endoscopy

would u blieve it. i have just recieved my date for thurs 5th may for endoscopy after weeks of waiting .to be on only day of next 2 months i am busy , how unfair is that, my dog has cancer getting operation 5th may to remov cyst at 9am, my dad been in coma for 3 mths has just come round and on 5th may have a appointment with specialist at 2pm to discuss his illness,how can i dare to ring and say cannot make endoscopy appointment? will they put me to bottom of list? omg i so fed up.... sobbing my heart out waited weeks for this date :cry:

Hey dont be upset, just give them a call and explain your situation, they will understand and offer you the next available appointment im sure.

have you had pre-op and have you got your date for your bypass?? as when i went for my pre-op i was told then that i had to have an endoscopy due to my surgery being changed, i went the next day to have it done, as the lovely pre-op nurse denise morris wouldnt take no for an answer and the endoscopy unit fitted me in to get done, if you have seen your pre-op nurse give them a ring to explain, i hope you get sorted xx

i had my weigh in then waited 8 weeks for endoscopy appointment to get here. told once this done i will be given op date. not sure how long after endoscopy. they said i will get a liver shrinking diet after endoscopy dun

mine was probably like that as they forgot to give me the appoint for endoscopy, so i dont really have a clue on what your timescale will be, but try and phone the hospital a.s.a.p to arrange a new appoint, hopefully the bank holidays wont delay you. much luck sent your way all the best barbara xx

Dear Mazbrad, I hope you are feeling a little more calmer now, I totally understand how you are feeling , what a shame, im sure it will be fine , i can only imagine they would put you at the bottom of the list if you just didnt show up , im sure that if you explained they would understand,they are human after all. i hope your dad and your dog are on the mend.
p.s i have had to miss an appointment for good reasons before , and i was advised to email all involved as well as ring , so that the reasons are on record and acknowledged, when i did this i was put on the cancellation list , and i took an appointment for an afternoon that was cancelled by another patient that morning , worth a try?

thanks carol, thats good info. i have rang hospital already, no answer will keep trying , i also spoke to my dads hospital and they have told me if i need to rearrange they would . very considerate so if i cant postpone endoscopy i will postpone ma dads appointment .my dad wouldnt want me to miss out on my appointment.xx
