As you know i've recently rejoined weight watchers. I've had a few messages off people asking me about the plan and wishing they could go but finances or other commitments make it hard.

If anyone wants to pm me there details (age, height, weight, gender) i'll happily use my calculator to work out your points and also give you a website which is set up by a weight watcher member with lots of everyday and eating out points values on. Then if that's not enough there is also our beloved minimins site where you can go and ask questions from fellow weight watchers and find out anything else you need.

If you've not got enough posts to pm, then get posting like mad, you hit that privilege at 50 posts. Good luck fellow fat fighters xxx

To add to Julies post...

This is a quick and easy to use online WW ProPoints calculator which is also very handy.

WeightWatchers Daily ProPoints Target Calculator

Just put in your details and it will work it out for you.

This is another online calculator which will let you work out the ProPoints value in food...use the UK one for here.

Weight Watchers Points Calculator

It also has the old Discovery Plan calculator for those who want to stick with it.

Below a few links that might help to get you started....

Weight Watchers - ProPoints Queries - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

Weight Watchers - ProPoints Plan Recipes - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

Surprising or shocking pro-point finds.... - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum

It is well worth going to a couple of Weight Watchers meetings to get the books and have the leader explain in detail how it works as some who have done the old Discovery plan have found it a bit confusing at first including myself.

As you can see from the Weight Watchers forum on MiniMins... members are having excellent results on the new plan.

Best of luck Julie with WW!

How you finding it?

thanks mini and phatmomma.....excellent idea....very kind of u both

KEvin these sorta web sites have been up and running for ages...dont think WW overly care as ppl who want to do this plan will go spend money on their products/food etc anyways...so it generates revenue in some way.

The links to the calculators are available on the internet and it is up to WW to ask them to take them down.

Thanks Julie, and just to add to Mini's post - minimins is a great resource whatever diet you are following, pre or post op. www.minimins.com

Kevin go sit on the naughty step :)

Good luck everyone and mini now i'm tracking and pointing properly i'm 6lb down in three weeks, next week i intend to add another couple if i'm good :) xx

Excellent weight loss Julie:happy096:

It is obviously suiting you well:D

WW have put a lot of research into getting this programme right and I think they have.

Did you buy the PP pedometer so that you can earn extra PP's for exercising and working out?

woo almost half a stone well done phatmomma....do u find urself hungry doing this with a bypass? as a bander i realise u still get hungry! u still gotta be good!

Firstly Mini, i didn't buy the pedometer, however the app for my phone will tell me how many points i have earned when i put in what i did and for how long. I earned 5 the other day which is almost a scone tomorrow to celebrate the wedding :) Just need to earn the cream now :)

Magicbeans, so many people think they will never feel hunger again after a bypass and too be honest that's codswollop. You never need as much to satisfy you that's for sure, but you do feel hunger.

I found when i did w/w before surgery i was hungry, the points never did quite stretch enough, however now they do and i get a treat or two during the day too....

I am absolutely behind this new plan 100% i truly believe it is excellent for bypassers, not being over familiar with a banders diet i cannot speak for them.

I cannot recommend it enough :) :)

we can eat sweeties!!

which is a bit of a double edged sword!!! :p

Magicbeans you can have no idea how many times i've longed to be a dumper. Unfortunately i don't. Nothing like a bit of fear to keep you on the straight and narrow :)

oh u dont dump! hehe...yes i read a few of u get away with not dumping....i totally get u.... i wish i was scared by chocs instead of dancing a lil jig of fat joy whenever i see them.

guess thats why ill need to get onto WW when im healed and eating properly!

If you ask the other none dumpers i think most of them will say they were diabetic pre op, it seems to be a common denominator..... And i don't do the jig every time i see chocolate but if i know i'm having a bit something deep inside me smiles :)

i am/was glucose intolerant.....so really neede this.

where u diabetic? is ur diabetes gone??

I was type 2 diabetic and i will always be type 2 diabetic, however it is controlled by diet alone now and no more metformin :)

We are told surgery will cure us of our diabetes, no it wont, once a diabetic always a diabetic. The difference is you probably won't need meds for it xx
