flaked fish

looking forward to being able to move on to phase 2 post op diet, my hospital gave me a sheet with items to choose from and in there is flaked fish can anyone help me on this i know you can get flaked tuna ?

I would have thought they mean any fish that when cooked falls into flakes. eg. cod. If you poach it in milk then it goes all flakey and you also get the protein from some of the milk too.

Not sure I haven't eaten them. Do they flake up well?

Pilchards might be a bit oily so see how you go with a smell amount 1st. You could mash these and use as a spread on crackers.
Any white fish can be flaked as sharon said bbut you could also have Trout, herring, Salmon or Mackrel

thanks for this, i cannot have crackers yet but i think i will try tuna or cod first and see how i go from there
